Payments:The market manager will collect the table rent at each market.
GENERAL MARKET RULES
1) The Co-operatives primary rule is “You make, bake or grow it”. Therefore Market Members cannot sell any other person’s product at the market
2) Prices of products offered must remain the same throughout the day. They cannot be dropped for end of day discounts
3) Vehicles and containers used to carry baking and produce must be clean.
4) Carry out bags supplies by a vendor must be new
5) Market Members must practice good personal hygiene. Market members are expected to be neat, clean and in appropriate dress at all times.
6) The number of tables available are dictated by the mall management, there are no guarantees of table rentals. Contact manager to pre-book tables.
7) Qualification for Christmas Market attendance will be based on overall attendance of the Market by Market Members throughout the current year
8) Concerns/ Complaints: Every YFM Member, Renter and volunteer is entitled to work at the Yorkton Farmers Market harassment free where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Two types of harassment are covered under the Saskatchewan Employment Act:Harassment on prohibited ground that is based on race, creed, religion, colour, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, family status, disability, physical size or weight, age nationality, ancestry or place of origin; or Personal harassment that adversely affects the worker's psychological or physical well being where the harasser knows, or ought to reasonably know the harassment would cause a worker to be humiliated or intimidated. Personal harassment typically involves repeated occurrences. A single incident may also constitute personal harassment if it is serious or severe, and is shown to have lasting harmful effect on a worker. Personal harassment may include: Verbal or written abuse Insulting, derogatory or degrading comments, jokes or gestures Personal ridicule or malicious gossip Malicious or unjustifiable interference with another's work “work sabotage” Refusing to work or co-operate with others Interference with, or vandalism of, personal property. All concerns and/or complaints must be make through the Market Manager. No Market Member shall address a grievance directly with another Market Member or Mall Management. Complaint forms and procedures are available from the Market Manager.
9) Loading/ Parking: Absolutely NO backing up towards doors. NO parking/loading on cement sidewalks. NO propping open of the exterior doors NO use of mall’s carts for hauling member’s product. After loading, vendors are to park away from door to allow for more customer parking.
10) All Members are encouraged to attend the General Annual Meeting
11) No handwritten signs allowed on tables, must look professional
12) Tables must be manned at all times
13) No items can placed on any of the mall’s benches, planters, trash cans, etc.
14) Do not block any door ways of mall entrances and stores
15) No noise making devices allowed at tables (radio, tv, cd players etc.)
BOOKING/ CANCELING TABLES

1) All tables must be prebooked or cancelled with the Market Manager.
2) Market Members must be set up before 9:30am. All members must stay open until 1:30pm. Members must be packed up by 2:30pm.
3)Cancellations: vendors must notify the market manager before Wednesday at noon, for both the Thursday and Saturday market. Market vendors failing to inform the Market Manager of a cancellation will be charged the assigned table rent.
ADVERTISING & PROMOTIONS
1) Must participate in all forms of market advertising.
2) A digital application on website must be completed in order for the market to advertise your products and in turn advertise for the market.
3)The majority of advertising is done through newspaper and social media sites. Please help advertise by sharing posts made YFM.

PREPARED FOOD VENDOR REGULATIONS
1) All Market Members handling baked goods must attend and pass the Saskatchewan Health Safety Course and get Approval from RQHR. As well if there are any meat ingredients (cabbage rolls, soups etc.) All aspects of handling and packaging meat must be performed in an inspected kitchen.
The manager requires copies of certificates, emailed photo of certificate is accepted
2) All baked products must be wrapped or adequately covered with new food quality packaging.
3) All baking that has been frozen must be marked “Previously Frozen”
4) All baking and preserves must show a common name of the article, name and address of the Market Member, and the ingredients in descending order
5) All preserve jar lids must be new.
6) All perishable food products must be refrigerated (a fridge or freezer with an electric plug in) Product cannot be placed on display on the table. Any product that is on display must be labelled “display only” and must not be sold. Examples of perishable foods are: pumpkin pies, lemon pies, cream filling pies, perogies, cabbage rolls, cheese cakes, head cheese, meat products,

2) Eggs must be clean and packaged in clean cartons. If using used cartons, the carton must be covered so that the only word that can be read is “eggs”
3) All food packaging must be new good quality packaging. All perishable food products must be refrigerated (a fridge or freezer with an electric plug in) Product cannot be placed on display on the table. Any product that is on display must be labelled “display only” and must not be sold. Examples of perishable foods are: head cheese, all meat products,

2) Labels must include Name, Contact and Registration Number
3) Organic Certification: must be with the vendor at all markets and a copy provided to the market manager
CRAFTS / JEWELRY / ART / SEWING / KNITTING VENDOR REGULATIONS
1) All crafts must have the Market Member’s name, address and/or phone number located on the item.
2) Knitted and crocheted goods should have a label from the yarn or thread attached to the article.
Sewn articles must show the type of material they are made from.
3) All products must be made by market member.
4) Prices must be visible
SOAP / COSMETICS VENDOR REGULATIONS
